Their post-wedding getaway might have been put on hold, but Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall are clearly still enjoying a honeymoon period.
The tactile newlyweds looked very much in love as they put on an affectionate display at the Festival of British Eventing, just one week after tying the knot.
Speaking to ! magazine, Zara said that the chance to share their happiness with their nearest and dearest made the big day all the more special.
“To have all your friends there in one place, for both of us, was the best part of the wedding,” she revealed.
Clearly basking in the glow of her big day, the sporty blonde – introducing her new Musto range – spoke to the magazine, issue 1187, about her marriage to Mike and their delayed honeymoon plans.
The magazine also carries pictures of the couple sharing kisses and cuddles at the three-day equestrian festival.
Zara is seen with her arms wrapped around her new husband, showering him with kisses.
Mike, who is England rugby team captain, was there to cheer on his wife as she competed in the festival.
It is held annually at Gatcombe Park, the home of Zara”s mother Princess Anne – and, as usual, the whole family were out in force to show their support.
That included Zara”s seven-month-old niece Savannah and her proud parents, Peter and Autumn Phillips.
And she was the centre of attention at the event, even receiving a big kiss from Uncle Mike.
The only sad note in an otherwise happy occasion was when tearful Zara officially retired her beloved horse ToyTown, with whom she was crowned world eventing champion five years ago.
