Will Smith shot to fame as the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, but after a high energy run around with Britain”s Olympic hopefuls, he was anything but.
“I”m gonna go ice myself down,” puffed the actor after jumping over hurdles, shooting hoops and trying the triple jump.
Will – who thrilled cinema-goers as Muhammad Ali in the 2001 biopic Ali – revisited boxing when he squared off against super heavyweight, Anthony Joshua.
But his skills weren”t as sharp as they might have been, with the actor admitting: “I was 30 when I made Ali. Now I”m 43.”
The fun-loving star was in London to promote new sci-fi comedy Men In Black 3, when he met Team GB basketball captain Andrew Sullivan, hurdler Perri Shakes-Drayton and triple jumper Yamile Aldama.
And the experience left Will with a new-found respect for their physical prowess.
“That gives you an idea of the peak physical condition that athletes have to be in,” he said.
“I had a little taste of it when I made Ali, but there”s a whole other level of conditioning. I”ll be at the Olympics to watch.”
