US singer Ke$ha admitted to rehab for eating disorder
American pop star Ke$ha was admitted for rehab on Friday morning to receive treatment for an eating disorder.

“I’m a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself,” said the 26-year-old Crazy Kids singer in a statement given to PEOPLE. “But I’ve found it hard to practice.”

“I’ll be unavailable for the next 30 days,” she added. “Seeking treatment for my eating disorder … to learn to love myself again. Exactly as I am.”

Reports suggest that Ke$sha, whose real name is Kesha Rose Sebert, is now at Timberline Knolls near Chicago, Illinois, the same centre where singer Demi Lovato was treated for bulimia.

Ke$sha, who has her own TV show called My Crazy Beautiful Life, has previously opened up about her diet, saying that she is a vegetarian because she doesn’t believe in eating animals.

“I just love animals,” she said in an interview with the Phoenix New Times. “I’m an advocate for animal rights and I don’t believe in animal testing.”
