Tony Awards Pays Silly Tribute to Cancelled Television Shows

Tony Awards Pays Silly Tribute to Cancelled Television Shows

With such fierce primetime television competition, dozens of shows get cancelled each year. And last night (June 9) the Tony Awards included a musical number dedicated to axed programs.

During the performance, The New Normal star Andrew Rannells lamented the demise of his television dreams.

Additionally, Smash babe Megan Hilty, and The Playboy Club & Go On actress Laura Benanti joined in to pay tribute to their bygone jobs.

Thankfully, Tony Awards host Neil Patrick Harris still has a day job on his hit show How I Met Your Mother!
