The movie biz sure is changing. Youd think a flick starring bigwigs like Sylvester Stallone, Kyra Sedgwick, Nelly, and Kelsey Grammar would have some big-bucks backing behind it, right

Well, turns out that”s not the case with upcoming flick “Reach Me,” as one of the investors has cut ties midway through production, and without an influx of cash right away, the show will not go on.

So, in order to finish the drama, which was set for a 2014 release, the movies director has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help raise $250,000.

“Some of you might be wondering, “Why doesn”t he just ask his actors for the rest of the money”” Director John Herzfeld says in the film”s Kickstarter fundraising video. “Well they”ve all worked for next to nothing and they”ve done enormous favors for me.”

Of course, this isnt the first time Hollywood has turned to crowd funding. Zach Braff, Spike Lee, Kristen Bell, Melissa Joan Hart and James Franco have also utilized Kickstarter.
