Tim Tebow says his musical tastes run toward Rascal Flatts and U2, but one “80s artist happens to be such a big Tebow fan that he remade his trademark song.
John Parr – the British musician behind the Grammy-nominated hit “St. Elmo”s Fire” – reworked the song from the Demi Moore film as a tribute to the Denver Broncos quarterback.
In “Tim Tebow”s Fire,” Parr sings, “I can see a new horizon underneath the blazin” sky. I”ll be where the eagle”s flyin” higher and higher. Gonna be a man in motion, all I needs my Broncos team. Take me where my future”s lyin,” Tim Tebows Fire.”
“I was inspired by Tim Tebow, so I wanted to modify the lyrics in his honor of the way that he lives his life as being a great example,” Parr told FOX31 Denver on Monday.
Parr originally performed the version dedicated to Tebow, 24, on ESPN in October and later released a full studio version.
