Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and his fiancée Veronica Berti have welcomed a baby girl.

The delighted couple confirmed the happy news to ! Online.

 

Fifty-three-year-old Andrea, who was blinded at the age of 12 in a football accident, and his wife had already picked out the little girl”s name – Virginia.

“It”s of Etruscan origin,” Veronica told !. “The thing I like about this name is that none of my friends has it.”

Baby Virginia has two older brothers in the form of Amos, 17, and Matteo, 14 – Andrea”s sons with his first wife Erica.

“With a dad and two older brothers she will have very attentive bodyguards,” says Veronica, who is also Andrea”s manager.
