It”s been a long six weeks for the Duchess of Cambridge, who was forced to wave off her husband, Prince William as he undertook RAF search and rescue duty in the Falklands.
She admitted she had been “missing him terribly” – but now she need pine no longer, as her pilot prince is back home on British soil.
On Wednesday, Clarence House announced William”s return after what aides described as a “routine tour”.
During the separation, the newlyweds have been keeping in touch via Skype and a flurry of emails to one another.
And Kate”s in-laws have banded round to support her and nurture her transition into a confident working royal.
She proved to be a class act during her various engagements – particularly when she joined the Queen in Leicester to open her Diamond Jubilee tour.
Closer to home, the couple”s new pup Lupo has been keeping the new royal company in his master”s absence.
