Stepping out for some media duties, Shia LaBeouf showed up at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City fan appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman last night (April 1).
And of course, Letterman was very interested in hearing the story of how the Disturbia stud got axed from the Orphans play with Daves buddy Alec Baldwin.
Letterman asked, Why did you get fired What did you do to [Alec] Shia replied, Hes a good due and the show is terrific. I got nothing bad to say.
As for the creative differences explanation that was previously cited, Shia noted, “I think that”s what you gotta say as sort of a business-savvy answer for what actually happened. Me and Alec had tension as men. Not as artists, but as men. In a room, that became hard to deal with.”
Finally, Mr. LaBeouf looked into the camera and declared, “Alec, I think you”re awesome man.”
