Accused of mistreating her hired help, Sharon Stone has just been sued by a former maid who claims she was called names and fired due to an on-the-job injury.
According to the lawsuit, Angelica Castillo was loading groceries in a car for the “Basic Instinct” star when she injured her back. Under doctor”s orders to avoid heavy lifting, the 55-year-old actress allegedly called Angelica “crazy” and “stupid” before firing her.
In a statement provided to GossipCenter by Ms. Stone”s attorney, Martin D. Singer calls the claims “bizarre and ridiculous,” adding, “Ms. Castillo was never fired, and as of today is still covered by health insurance as an employee of Ms. Stone.”
The lawyer concludes, “We are confident that Ms. Stone will prevail in this meritless case, and once that occurs, she intends to pursue affirmative claims for malicious prosecution against those responsible for filing and prosecuting this specious lawsuit.”
