Queen hears prayers for Prince Philip as he spends sixth day in hospital
The Queen listened to prayers for Prince Philip on Sunday as she attended a service at Crathie Kirk without him.

The 91-year-old remains under close supervision in hospital, where he spent his sixth day on Monday suffering from a bladder infection.

He was admitted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Wednesday after becoming unwell on his annual summer break to Balmoral with the Queen.

The sovereign attended morning mass on Sunday with Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

She listened as the Reverend David Cameron wished the Duke of Edinburgh a speedy recovery and quick return to his holiday.

Royal aides said Sunday there was no change in Philip”s condition. It is not known when he will be released from hospital.

Doctors have said the Duke needs to have complete rest – and have asked that he does not receive visitors.

The Queen, pictured on the car jouney home from church, is receiving regular phone updates on his health while they wait in Balmoral, 50 miles away.
