Sweden’s adorable Princess Estelle made her debut on skis on New Year’s Eve.
The young royal, who turns two in February, was ably assisted by her father Prince Daniel as she took to the piste for the first time.
It was her doting auntie Princess Madeleine, who is pregnant with her first baby, that shared the photo with royal fans via her Facebook page.
Estelle was kitted out in a spotty all-in-one skisuit to keep the wintry chill at bay. Her parents put their little one’s safety first with a blue helmet.
Her father Daniel looked typically stylish in a bright orange and navy blue ensemble.
However, her mother Princess Victoria was nowhere to be seen. It has been reported that the mum-of-one sprained her ankle on the trip to Cervinia in the Italian Alps.
The 36-year-old was taken by helicopter to nearby Aosta then to Geneva where doctors confirmed the injury.
Estelle’s grandparents King Carl XVI Gustaf and his wife Queen Silvia were also on the holiday.
It isn’t the first time Princess Estelle has been seen having fun with her family on the piste.
Last year she attended the final day of the Nordic World Ski Championships with her parents.
The little princess has been the pride and joy of the royal palace since she was born in February 2012.
The second-in-line to the Swedish throne, whose full name is Princess Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary of Sweden, was christened in May 2012, drawing many European royals to Stockholm’s Royal Chapel.
The youngster was given an array of regal godparents including Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, Prince Haakon of Norway, Prince Willem-Alexander and her uncle, Prince Carl Philip of Sweden.
She’ll soon have a baby cousin when Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill’s first baby arrives in spring 2014.
