Princess Charlene of Monaco enjoys Italian holiday with friends
Princess Charlene has been spotted on holiday with her friends in the Italian town of Portofino. The Monegasque royal was photographed on Friday, strolling the coastal towns picturesque streets and enjoying a boat trip on around the port.

Charlene was seen wearing a simple grey, knee-length dress and matching sandals and accesorised her look with a similarly hued Louis Vuitton handbag and sunglasses.

With Prince Albert obliged to several engagements in Monaco, Charlene took the opportunity for a mini break with her close friends. The group have been taking in the sights and sounds of the famous coastal location, shopping and enjoying the colourful view from the harbour.


Princess Charlene is not the only royal enjoying the summer sun, as Britain await the arrival of Kate Middleton’s baby, Princess Mary of Denmark and her husband Prince Frederik and their four children have been making the most of their country’s beaches, as have Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark and Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.

Charlene and Albert often share their royal engagements, with Charlene attending Princess Madeleine of Sweden’s royal wedding in May without her husband and Albert joining his sister, Princess Caroline and niece, Charlotte Casiraghi at a show jumping even in Monaco at the end of June.

Albert and Charlene stepped out as a couple in May for the Monaco Grand Prix. Charlene dazzled in a chic cream gown at the event’s gala dinner on 26 May after a day of watching the Formula 1 racing with Albert.

The South African-born princess completed her minimal look with a simple bracelet and cream clutch bag, adding a dash of colour with a vibrant purple lipstick. Albert wore a smart black dinner suit as he walked the red carpet with his statuesque wife.
