Prince Harry was spotted ordering a takeaway from chicken house Nando’s, and managed to go almost unrecognised by other diners.
The British royal, who is dating dancer and socialite Cressida Bonas, ducked into the popular chicken haunt in Fulham Broadway to pick up his midnight snack.
News of Harry’s visit on Tuesday later sparked a frenzy on Twitter, with fans and celebrities tweeting their excitement.
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I love Prince Harry #Nandos,” wrote Cheryl Cole.
The red-haired Prince was pictured looking casual in jeans and a green t-shirt, and hid his giveaway hair under a baseball cap, which Harry often seems to wear when keeping a low-profile.
Joined by his dressed-down bodyguards and a close friend, the fourth-in-line to the throne ordered a chicken breast fillet in pitta bread with extra cheese, and a side of creamy mash, according to The Mirror. Harry went for the mildest choice of sauce on offer — the lemon and herd marinade.
A few royal watchers spotted the charming prince and grabbed the opportunity to take sneaky photos of Harry as he waited for his order. When asked if he could pose for a photo with a member of staff, the Prince politely declined.
“Moments after Harry left the restaurant clutching his dinner in a paper bag, a member of staff jumped on the bench he was sitting on and shouted: ‘I’m on the Prince’s throne!'” an onlooker told the publication. “Nobody could believe what happened.”
This is not the first time Harry has been spotted at the popular chicken house. The 29-year-old was pictured dining at the Stevenage branch in 2009 with a group of his army friends, close to their Hertfordshire base.
