Prince Harry celebrates Sentable"s 10th birthday with a fun-filled party

Prince Harry has put on a spectacular gala for the 10th anniversary of his charity, Sentable.

The fun-filled birthday party took place in London on Wednesday, as Harry welcomed guests to the Sentebale Summer Party at The Dorchester, Park Lane, London. Walking the carpet with Harry was the charity”s co-founder Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.

Soul singer Joss Stone was also there, as she will perform You Had Me, while The Bodyguard musical”s leading woman Beverley Knight and magician Troy will also provide the night”s entertainment.

It was the first time we have seen Prince Harry in public since the news that he had split form his girlfriend Cressida Bonas.

The young prince looked in high spirits, as guests at the party were treated to a VIP drinks reception and dinner, followed by recognition awards to celebrate key individuals and organisations that have shaped the charity into what it is today.

While Sentebale was set up in 2006, a statement released on the organisation”s official website confirmed that “the evening is to mark 10 years since the Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso made their commitment to helping the vulnerable children of Lesotho” as it was in 2004, while he was on his gap year, that Prince Harry visited Lesotho.

The pair, who have both lost their mothers, decided to set up Sentebale, which means “forget me not” in Sesotho, in the hope of giving some of the most vulnerable children the chance of a happy, hopeful future.

Today, Sentebale works in partnership with local community-run organisations, NGOS, local government ministers and chiefs to provide healthcare and education to thousands of children who have been affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic and extreme poverty.
