Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall paid a visit to Jamie Oliver”s Fifteen restaurant in Cornwall, but unfortunately for the royals, the couple did not stay for lunch.
The first-in-line to the throne and his wife Camilla were on the last day of their West Country tour when they made a brief stop at the Watergate Bay branch.
Arriving by car, Charles, 65, and Camilla, 66, were greeted by a row of happy chefs standing in the restaurant”s kitchen. The young chefs had a lot to smile about as they were part of Jamie Oliver”s apprentice programme – the scheme that gives unemployed people the chance to train with chefs at Fifteen.

The soon-to-be cooking graduates spoke about healthy-eating and the skills they had learnt, while also presenting Charles and Camilla with trays of food that they had prepared for the occasion.
The royal couple also met local traders who showed off their fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and more. As a champion of home-grown produce, Charles seemed particularly intrigued by the ample display.

Camilla, who will be celebrating her 67th birthday on Thursday, looked elegant in a champagne-coloured, lace dress. The Duchess accessorised with a classic strand of white pearls and matching earrings.
Given their proximity to the sea, the royals headed down to the beach to have their photographs taken with the apprentices. The uniformed chefs each grabbed a yellow surfboard to hold on to and grouped around Charles and Camilla.

Following their visit, the Prince and his wife continued their foodie day with a visit to the Camel Valley vineyard near Bodmin. Camila was gifted with a six-litre bottle of sparkling rosé ahead of her birthday.
