Taking some time away from her busy The Truth About Love world tour, P!nk scores a feature in the August 2013 issue of GQ Australia.
While rocking a few poses for the Ellen Von Unwerth-shot spread, the “Raise Your Glass” hitmaker dished about her down-to-Earth personality and even reveals how she relates to her fans.
Check out a few highlights from P!nk”s interview below. For more, be sure to visit GQ Australia!
On her career as she ages:
“Age doesn”t worry me at all. I kind of love it. Although, these days, I get a lot of cute little girls coming up to me and I”m like, “Awww,” and then they say, “My mom loves you.” Ok, great, find, your mom loves me I still feel like a 17-year-old boy.”
On her career:
“My life hasn”t changed that much. I mean, I could do without the paparazzi taking photos of my child. But I tour, I write songs, I go through the same s*** as everybody else. I”ve never enveloped myself in that “I”m a f****** rockstar, I”m important” thing. I don”t get it – either you”re a good person or you”re not.”
On understanding her fans:
“Yeah I must be the only chick who gets stuffed toys and women”s underwear thrown at her. Honestly, I think struggle recognizes struggle. I figured the reason people like me is because they”re going through the same s*** or can empathize. It”s just a group of cool people all over the world – people get it. Ever since I was a little girl, I”ve been attracted to minorities, and I think that”s part of the connection. I get the struggle.”
