Peaches Geldof: Mourners arrive for funeral
Peaches Geldof‘s friends and family have begun gathering to pay their last respects at her funeral.

Her grief-stricken father Sir Bob Geldof was due to lead the tributes to his late daughter on Easter Monday. It is also thought that the columnist’s sister Pixie will also say a few words at the memorial, if she feels able to cope.

Mariella Forstrup, Nick Grimshaw, Sarah, Duchess of York, Kate Moss and Jools Holland were among those arriving at the St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence church in the village of Davington, near Faversham in Kent.

Sarah, Duchess of York managed a brave smile

Also in attendance were Jo Wood, Trudie Styler, Jaime Winston and Bill Wyman.

TV presenter Nick, who was extremely close to both the two Geldof girls, went into the service by a side door, his head bowed in sorrow, sunglasses shielding his eyes.

Sarah, Duchess of York arrived by herself in a chauffeured Bentley. Accompanied by her husband Jason McCue, Mariella carried a bunch of pink flowers. More bouquets had been tied to the railings outside – a sign of the affection for the family whose ties to the local community go back many years.

Heartbreakingly this is the same church where Peaches’ mother Paula Yates was laid to rest 12 years ago. The 25-year-old’s wedding to Thomas Cohen also took place there two years ago.

The coffin had been decorated with an image of Peaches with her young family

In a touching tribute, her coffin had been decorated with a painting of the young couple with their baby sons Astala and Phaedra, as well as the family pets.

As the much-loved celebrity’s loved said their farewells the news came that her widower Tom, plans to sell the family home. He is thought to be too devastated to continue living with their children.
