It was a big day for Olympic blade runner Oscar Pistorius as he returned to court for a hearing in the shooting death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
During the proceedings, South African Magistrate Daniel Thulare decided to postpone the trial until August 19th to allow for more discovery time for the prosecution.
Interestingly enough, the new court date is the same as Steenkamps birthday and she would have been 30 years old this year.
Regarding Pistorius concern for getting a fair trial, Thulare declared, “Just like any other literate South African, I also read newspapers. It would appear there is somewhat a trial by the media houses of Mr. Pistorius.”
