Kicking off what will surely be a long and successful run, Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad knocked it out of the park during opening night of Romeo & Juliet on Broadway last night (September 19).
The Pirates of the Caribbean hunk and the Smash cutie took the stage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City for the big performance, scoring rave reviews from the audience.
And though Shakespeares Romeo is actually a teenager in the story, Orly told press he hasnt had any issues pulling off the role.
“It has been a joy. I”m not the youngest actor to play Romeo, or the oldest, but I really don”t think I could have done justice to the role before now. There”s so much more to the character that I”ve found having had more experience, even being a father. And of course, the play reaches everyone. Who doesn”t want to see two kids experience that sheer ecstasy”
