Just hours after fellow judge Mariah Carey announced her exit, Nicki Minaj also confirmed she won”t be coming back to “American Idol” next season.

On Thursday (May 30), the “Starships” songstress took to her Twitter page, writing, “Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience! Wouldnt trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!! Mmmuuuaahhh!!!

Making the news official, FOX also released a statement, saying, Nicki Minaj is a superstar who brought a level of honesty and passion to American Idol and who had a tremendous positive impact on so many contestants this season. Given her extremely busy career, we understand and respect her decision and wish her the best.

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Carey and veteran judge Randy Jackson have both decided to leave the show while it is still not confirmed if Keith Urban will be back for another season.

According to various reports, the country stud is not expected to return but it has been hinted that Jennifer Hudson may take a spot at the judge”s table next season.
