Arriving arm-in-arm, lightly tanned and looking very happy together, the royal newlyweds brought a touch of sophisticated Riviera glamour to the charity ball in Leeds.

The new princess, a former Olympic swimmer, sparkled in a metallic brocade effect sheath at the soiree in Harewood House, the magnificent 18th-century mansion that is home to the Queen”s cousin, the Earl of Harewood.
Finishing off the glittering look were exquisite yellow diamond drop earrings and a gold clutch.
Her husband, who slimmed down for the ceremony in July, cut an impressive figure in a tuxedo.
The event marked the golden jubilee of the regional Variety Club children”s charity.
Some £250,000, was raised for projects aimed at disabled and disadvantaged young people.
Since her engagement last year, Charlene has become a high-profile supporter of children”s charities in Europe and her native South Africa.
