Mike Tindall battles the mud while on daddy duty with baby Mia
As a top rugby player, Mike Tindall isn’t phased by a bit of mud. Just as well, since there was plenty to contend with at the weekend while he was in charge of baby Mia at the Gatcombe Horse Trials.

While mummy Zara Phillips was busy at the point-to-point event – for which she trains horses – Mike was looking after their little girl.

The sportsman was spotted pushing Mia – who was born on January 17 – through the mud in her pram, which luckily had hefty wheels perfect for off road situations.

The multi-tasking dad had one hand on the buggy and in the other, the lead of the couple’s boxer dog.

He was returning the favour from earlier in the day, when Zara had taken charge of mia while he worked – captaining his rugy team Gloucester to a 40-33 victory over Newcastle Falcons.

The previous day, Zara’s brother Peter Philips was at the equestrian event – which takes place on their mum Princess Anne’s Gatcomb Park Gloucestershire estate.

He was joined by his wife Autumn Phillips and the couple’s cute daughters Savannah, three, and one-year-old Isla.
