Michelle Pfeiffer Dishes About Joining a Manipulative Cult

Before striking it big in Hollywood, Michelle Pfeiffer revealed that she holds a dark and scary past.

During a recent interview with The Telegraph, the “Scarface” beauty discussed the cult she joined when she first arrived on the scene at the age of 20.

The Moonies, also known as Rev. Sun Myung Moon”s Unification Church, believed humans could actually live without foot or water and use only sunlight for nourishment.

“They believed that people in their highest state were breatharian,” Miss Pfeiffer stated before sharing details about the diet that “nobody can adhere to.”

Michelle soon realized that the group was trying to manipulate her and her ex-husband Peter Horton while interviewing one of cult”s former members.

“We were talking with an ex-Moonie and he was describing the psychological manipulation and it just clicked,” she explained. “They work with weights and put people on diets. Their thing was vegetarianism. They were very controlling.”

She then added, “I wasn”t living with them, but I was there a lot and they were always telling I needed to come more. I had to pay for all the time I was there, so it was financially very draining.”
