Maggie Gyllenhaal and Sally Field: Sundance Benefit Buddies

Stepping out for an evening devoted to the arts, Sally Field and Maggie Gyllenhaal enjoyed the Sundance Institute Theatre Program Benefit on Monday (April 8) in New York.

Accompanied by her mother, the Dark Knight actress looked lovely in flowing multi-colored frock, while the Lincoln alum turned heads in a perfectly-fitted purple number.

The program – which featured dinner and live performances – is put on by Sundance to benefit new artists and support unique and diverse voices to further independent film around the world.

For the first time, the event will hand out the Tennessee Williams Award, which honors an emerging playwright who embodies visionary storytelling and is developing a project that engages audiences in a fresh and exciting way.
