Snuggled up together as snow fell around them, Princess Charlene and Prince Albert took a romantic sleigh ride together in Finnish Lapland.
The couple looked like they were thoroughly enjoying themselves as they visited the village of Hetta – which is inhabited by the indigenous Sami people – on their one-day trip beyond the Arctic Circle.
They certainly looked like a couple of authentic reindeer herders in traditional Lapponian clothing which protected them from the cold.
Keen environmentalist Albert visited Finland to address the Sami Reindeer Herders Association about the challenges that climate change and industrialisation pose to their industry.
Reindeer herding is vital for the economy of Arctic indigenous communities, and thousands of people make a living from it.
