Stepping out for some media duties, Lindsey Vonn made a special appearance on the Today show Wednesday (November 27).
The world renowned skier sat down with co-host Matt Lauer and opened up about how shes continuing to remain hopeful about her chances at the 2014 Winter Olympic games despite partially injuring her ACL last week.
Im confident its going to be ok, Miss Vonn declared. At this point, thats all I can do, is stay positive. Im kind of out of options at this point. I hope I can continue racing.”
When asked about her comeback after her knee injury earlier this year, Lindsey stated, I dont think I was pushing myself too hard. It was just a fluke accident thats the risk you take when youre going 80-90 miles per hour down a mountain.
Fingers crossed I can be racing next week. Ive worked so hard all summer to get back to this point Im still confident I still have a lot left to achieve and I still have time before Sochi, she added.
