Being a competitive athlete has its risks, and Lindsey Vonn was the latest Olympic star to find herself in need of taking a break from her passion.
On Tuesday (November 19), U.S. Ski Team spokesman Tom Kelly told People magazine, “Lindsey crashed earlier this morning while training at Copper Mountain in Colorado. She was not admitted to the hospital and is currently being evaluated by Dr. Sterett back in Vail.”
“We expect to have clarity on the situation in the next 24 hours. We will provide updates when we know more and appreciate your patience,” Kelly continued.
Giving fans a bit of relief, the spokesman added, “We have no reason to believe it”s anything significant right now. She was not hospitalized. It will be up to Lindsey to discuss any details beyond that.”
