Formerly on friendly terms, Lady Gaga and Perez Hilton engaged in a bitter Twitter war this week, enraging legions of her Little Monsters.
Multiple times on his account, the blogger rubbed in the fact that Katy Perry”s single “Roar” greatly outsold the 27-year-old songstress”s “Applause.”
Fed up with his rubbing it in, the “Born This Way” singer tweeted on Friday (August 16), “Still have the text Perez sent me of me in a wheelchair w the words KARMA written across + Madonna pointing a gun at me. Day of my accident.”
As her ravenous fans leaped to her defense, Gaga posted, “Please monsters do not be affected by someone like this NOTHING merits this kind of hatred. Im ok & I always survive. Ignore him. Just Dance.”
Undeterred, Perez continued tweeting about the album sales and on Saturday, Gaga had her own message for naysayers, tweeting, “To the critic who speaks before they bang the gong: a fool you are I say! I”ve not even begun my song!”
