Shes no stranger to fine furs, and when Kim Kardashian opted for a luxurious animal-skin coat while in Paris yesterday (March 4) she got slammed by PETA.
According to the activist group, the Disaster Movie dames decision to sport fur not only hurts cute little woodland creatures, but it could also affect her unborn child someday.
PETAs statement reads, Children naturally identify and empathize with animals so even though Kim and Kanye will undoubtedly serve as poor examples when it comes to kindness toward animals, perhaps their child will take after Aunt Khloe and choose kindness by rejecting fur.
Children who come from greedy, self-absorbed parents could follow their lead or break away and be alienated from and disgusted by them. Kim is a commodity: She is paid to wear things like fur or a particular makeup and to shake hands with dictators so she is not a good example for a child or anyone else of how to show a social conscience. Thankfully, this child will be growing up in a time when most people know how blatantly cruel it is to buy a coat made from someone elses skin so there is hope.
