Days after receiving her 15-carat engagement ring in a lavish birthday proposal, Kim Kardashian wants the world to share in her joy.
The curvaceous star made sure her latest accessory took centre stage when she stepped out with her brand new fiancé Kanye West for a gala in LA on Thursday.
Kim was understandably keen to show off the beautiful sparkling bauble, which was designed by Kanye and the Kardashian family’s favourite jeweller, Lorraine Schwartz.
A ring of that size deserved a monumental proposal, which the rapper certainly delivered on the evening of Kim’s 33rd birthday.
Having flown in Kim’s friends and family as a surprise, Kanye went down on one knee at the privately rented AT&T stadium in San Francisco, where guests enjoyed a fireworks display and a 50-strong orchestra.
The couple’s engagement was no doubt a hot topic at the Dream For Future Africa Foundation gala on Thursday.
Hosted by Naomi Campbell, Gelila and Wolfgang Puck and Amber Valetta, the star-studded event honored Vogue Italia Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani, and attracted a number of famous faces, including Dita Von Teese, Karolina Kurkova, Rachel Zoe, Elisabetta Canalis and Joe Jonas.
In an interview prior to his lavish proposal, Kanye admitted that he’s “never loved a girl” as much as Kim, except his late mother, Donda West.
“I have never loved any girl, other than my mother, as much as I love my girlfriend,’ he said of Kim, the mother of his four-month-old daughter North, during an interview on Monday with San Francisco radio station KMEL.
“I’m so happy to be with her, to live this life together, and — with our relationship with God — to be able to live forever in heaven together, and also to raise a strong family that communicates truth and beauty.”
