Performing her new hit single to the huge Brooklyn crowd, Katy Perry closed out the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (August 25).

The 28-year-old songstress belted out “Roar” at the end of the star-studded event and had a special accessory made for the occasion.

Showing off a brass-knuckle adorned microphone with the title of her song on it, Katy wrote, “You wanna bump Let”s go! #VMAS.”

Speaking about the track with her Twitter followers earlier this week, Ms. Perry tweeted, “Secretly… I love how when I wrote #ROAR I was just trying to write a song about being a mega cat lady. Shhh, don”t tell anyone.”
