Kate Middleton was greeted by screams and cheers as she arrived to meet excited schoolchildren in the sports hall at Northolt High School in Ealing, London on Friday.
The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning in a bright blue £225 LK Bennett dress and her trademark black heels, with her chestnut hair worn in loose curls.
Kate also wore delicate drop earrings, a matching necklace as well as a Cartier watch. Like Kate’s engagement ring, the £3,550 timepiece features a sapphire, leading some royal watchers to speculate whether it was a Valentine’s Day gift from her husband Prince William. The sapphire gems were a perfect complement to her Snorkel Blue LK Bennett dress, which is also available in cream and red violet, and was expected to quickly sell out online and in store.
The royal was spending Valentine’s Day morning away from William and their baby son Prince George, but was delighted to be opening the ICAP Art Room at the school.
Kate is patron of the Art Room, a national charity that offers art as therapy to children and young people aged five to 16 who are facing challenges in their life.
This was Kate’s second engagement of the week. She made her first official appearance of 2014 at the National Portrait gallery on Tuesday.
