Though he caters to a much more mature audience on “Mad Men,” Jon Hamm shows he can hang with the younger set in a new “Sesame Street” segment with Elmo.
The 42-year-old actor introduces the word “sculpture” to viewers along with a very busy red puppet. Bearded and be-sweatered, Jon lugs out a variety of pieces at the behest of the insistent artist.
Recently, the studly star sat down with AMC to speak about the sixth season of the network”s hit show and his other acting projects.
When asked how he managed to not get typecast, Mr. Hamm shares, “Part of that is just saying no a lot… I think there are people who have fine careers doing the same thing over and over and over again, and there”s no judgment against that. But that”s not why I got into this business and that”s not what I want to do. I”ve been fortunate enough to have met a lot of people as this has gone on that have given me opportunities to do other things, whether it”s Lorne Michaels or Kristen Wiig or Tina Fey or whoever. And I”ve had enough success at it that I keep getting asked back.”
