John Malkovich Comes to the Rescue to Save a Man's Life

Though he is mostly known for his villainous roles, John Malkovich became a real life hero on Thursday (June 6), when he came to the assistance of an injured man.

Jim Walpole of Defiance, Ohio was on vacation in Toronto, Canada when he tripped on a sidewalk and fell in to some scaffolding causing a severe gash to his neck.

The Burn After Reading actor, who is in the Canadian city for a stint as Casanova in The Giacomo Variations, came to the tourists aid.

He started to press on my neck, Mr. Walpole said. He said he was trying to stop the bleeding.

With the quick thinking actor coming to the rescue until paramedics arrived, Mr. Walpole is expected to make a full recovery.
