Its a sad time in the entertainment realm as Muppets pioneer Jane Henson has passed away at the age of 78.
Following a long battle with cancer, the widow of Jim Henson died yesterday (April 2) leaving a long tradition of love and philanthropy.
According to a report, Jane met Jim at the University of Maryland when they both enrolled in the same puppetry class. They were married in 1959 and had five children.
And though they separated in 1986, Jane established the Jim Henson Legacy in 1992, following Hensons 1990 death.
Jane also started the National Puppetry Conference at the Eugene ONeill Theater Center and the Jane Henson Foundation.
She would often say, Jim wanted to leave the world a better place, and friend Arthur Novell added, Most would agree they both did.
