Heidi Klum Saves her Son and Nanny from Riptide in Hawaii

What was supposed to be a relaxing, fun day at the beach to celebrate the Easter holiday turned into a horrific close call for Heidi Klum and her family.

The “Project Runway” host, along with boyfriend Martin Kristen and her four children, were all enjoying soaking up the sun while vacationing in Oahu, Hawaii on Sunday (March 31).

Klum”s oldest son, 7 year-old Henry, was out swimming in the ocean with one of his nannies when a large riptide pulled the pair out to sea.

With her maternal instincts taking over, the 39 year-old supermodel and Kristen sprang into action to help save the duo from drowning.

“We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water,” Heidi told Us Weekly, adding, “Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely.”
