As rumors continue to swirl around her engagement to boyfriend Wladmir Klitschko, Hayden Panettiere scored the cover spot on the May 2013 issue of Glamour magazine.
The 23-year-old actress looked absolutely gorgeous in designer duds from Dolce & Gabbana for the Peggy Sirota photo shoot and chatted with the mag about everything from the her back tattoo to being admired by younger girls.
“It”s Italian: Vivere senza rimpianti,” the “Heroes” alum said of her body art. “When I was younger, I was upset, and my dad said he wanted to show me something. He slammed one door of the bathroom, and the closet door popped openit was a trick with the air. He said, Whenever one door closes, another one always opens. So my tattoo means Live without regrets. Its not that you dont regret things in life, but you at least try to learn from them. Its misspelled too [accidentally, as rimipianti]so I literally have to live by that advice!”
While discussing her vocal talents, Hayden says, “I dont look at it as a second chance; I look at it as where Im supposed to be. Even if Im not perfect at it, even if my voice takes work, this is where my heart is. People used to ask me, What kind of music do you like Id say, Country. Then theyd go, But youre from New York. I thought people would think I was trying to be something Im not. But the industry of country music is unbelievably accepting. The fans are unreal. Theres no judgment; its just, Lets all get together in a massive backyard and have a barbecue and drink and have fun.”
In regards to her younger fans, Miss Panettiere admits, “I never put my name in the ballot box and said, Hey, I want you to vote me as your teen leader and icon and your Miss Perfect. I will never say that Im perfect; I will never pretend to be perfect. Thats just unrealistic. Youre kind of unexpectedly put in this position of becoming a role model; thats not something you choose.”
