Steven Gerrard is one of England”s most famous football players, with a career spanning over 15 years.
He joined Liverpool FC in the late 1990s and cemented his place here when he played for the first team in 2000.
During his time at the club he has helped them to win two FA Cups, three League Cups, two Community Shields, one Champions League, one UEFA Cup, and two Super Cups, and was named the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year in 2005.
Steven made his international debut in 2000 for England at the 2000 European Championships, and has played for the team in every international championship since, alongside David Beckham and Frank Lampard.
He is the sixth player to ever win 100 caps for England and is number three of the list of top scorers for the country.
In 2012 he was named the England captain and he will take a squad of players to Brazil this June to compete for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
In 2007 Steven married Alex Gerrard, a ! Online blogger, and the pair have three daughters.
