Following their stint on The X Factor Rebecca confirmed she was dating One Direction member Zayn Malik. Their relationship caused controversy due to their six-year age gap but despite splitting after four months, Zayn commented: “When you have a proper heartache like that, I don”t think you fully get over it. We”re still friends and talk all the time.”
In February 2014 Rebecca collapsed live on national TV during a performance. She later revealed on Twitter that she was expecting her third child.
