Happy birthday, Joan Collins! As the Golden Globe winning actress turned author celebrates turning 81, ! Online takes a look at what the stars have in store for Joan, and you.
The trouble with forgetting things is that we can”t remember what we have forgotten! And, of course, if we can”t remember that we have forgotten it, how can we be sure that we ever knew it in the first place Now, I”m not suggesting that aliens have beamed you up into their ship and wiped your mind – or that your faculties are in any other way naturally or artificially impaired. I”m not, indeed, suggesting that there is anything wrong; to the contrary, I”m telling you that something is right. This weekend you will remember what it is!

Joan Collins in 2014
A popular pin-up girl throughout the 1950s and 1960s, by the 1970s Joan”s star had begun to wane, until 1981 when she was cast in a struggling new American television show, Dynasty.
Joining in the second season, Joan played Alexis Carrington, a beautiful but scheming ex-wife of oil tycoon Blake Carrington.
Credited with turning the show around, Joan was nominated for a Best Actress Golden Globe award every year that she appeared on the show, winning in 1983 – the same year that she was nominated for a Best Actress Emmy award.
At the end of the show in 1989, Joan went back to theatre, starring in a revival play of Noel Coward”s Private Lives and continued to take supporting roles on the stage and small screen throughout her later career.
Joan has also carved out a role for herself as an author, and to date has sold over 50 million copies of her books, which include memoirs and fiction novels.
