On the runway:
“Thank God the runway wasnt that long and I was wearing wedges. I didnt know how to walk on a runway; I didnt know how to do that runway walk. I just went out there and I walked naturallyhow you would on the streetand turned around and came back. And I remember my agent saying, “Everyones obsessed with your walk! Its so natural and effortless.” And Im like, “Thats because I dont know what Im doing! Because Im just walking!””
On her first shoot with Sports Illustrated:
“Coming into the fashion industry, I definitely had some goals from the get-go. Sports Illustrated was the ultimate for me because its a sports magazine. I grew up as an athlete, [so] its the coolest thing ever, the best of both worlds. Its been a dream of mine since I was 14. I remember telling my agent [at the time] that I wanted to be in Sports Illustrated. He was kind of giggling because I had no boobsI looked like a little boy, really.”
On her best and worst photo shoots:
My favorite was SI because that was something that I always wanted to do. As for locations, Ive shot in the Bahamas, St. Lucia, Turks and Caicos; it makes me feel like Im closer to home. The worst shoots are probably when you have to fly to Europe for a day. You fly in in the morning, you shoot, and then you fly out. I really havent had any bad experiences with photographers or clients; Ive been pretty lucky. Ive heard some horror stories.
