Stepping out to inform the world about Think Eat Save program, Gisele Bundchen showed up on the set of the “Today Show” this morning (September 19).
The 33-year-old United Nations Environmental Program Ambassador took to the stage to discuss food waste issues.
“I think a lot of things that I actually didn”t know that I found out about the Think Eat and Save program is, did you know that the 40% of the food produced in the US gets thrown away because it doesn”t look a certain way” Miss Bundchen explains.
Gisele continues, “I mean it”s crazy just because the apple is not the right size or the carrot is not straight enough, it”s just not accepted. So amazing, delicious food gets thrown away because it doesn”t look a certain way. I mean, none of us look the same, you know”
“I mean we are part of nature. In my garden, like all my carrots look like really crooked but they taste delicious,” she adds.
