Gisele Bundchen, Adriana Lima, Rihanna, David Beckham and Shakira were just a few of the stars that gathered in the Maracaña stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday evening for the highly anticipated World Cup closing ceremony.
Colombian star Shakira made sure she wowed the crowd with her performance of Dare (La,La,La) ahead of the final match between Germany and Argentina, when Germany went on to scoop the trophy with a 1-0 victory.

The singer, who sang, played drums and danced in a sizzling red dress, later thanked fans on Instagram alongside a snap of the football pitch. “I will never forget this day at Maracanã. Thank you all for bringing me here! Shak” wrote the mum to son Milan with Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué.
“That was so much fun! ¡Increíble! ShakHQ #WorldCup #ClosingCeremony” wrote the brunette beauty beside a montage of shots of herself performing, as well as her with her adorable tot.

Accompanied by her American footballer husband Tom Brady, supermodel Gisele Bundchen was stunning in a short print dress as she attended the closing ceremony.
The Brazilian beauty was pictured in the stands with her handsome hubby before heading down to the field to unveil the highly coveted gold trophy in its custom designed Louis Vuitton case, with former Barcelona star Carles Puyol.

“Should I keep the trophy Hahaha #worldcup Fico com o troféu Hahaha #copadomundo” wrote Gisele, who turns 34 later this month.
Gisele wasn”t the only supermodel in town for the football. Adriana Lima was also in Rio for the final match of the World Cup, posing with the winning team. “Seeing gold with @bastian_schweinsteiger! Congratulations Germany on your #WorldCup victory!” she captioned a selfie.

Former English football star David Beckham made sure he didn”t miss out on the biggest game of the season. The 39-year-old took his sons Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 11 and 9-year-old Cruz to watch the final match between Germany and Argentina, sharing a photograph of the foursome on his Facebook page.
