You don”t have to be British to catch royal birth fever and many celebrities came down with a bad case of it and quickly fired off reactions to the birth shortly after it was announced on Monday (July 22).

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Kate Middleton and Prince William welcoming a baby boy in London”s St. Mary”s Hospital earlier this afternoon.

Among those offering their well-wishes were Bethenny Frankel, who tweeted, “Congratulations to the Royal Family on their new baby boy!,” and William Shatner, posting, “So pleased to hear that William and Kate had a baby boy. Long live the future king. MBB.”

Some famous faces interjected humor into their royal-themed messages, including Ellen Degeneres sharing, “It”s a boy! So happy for my cousin Kate and the future King of England!” and Joan Rivers, saying, “Congratulations to Kate & William on the birth of their baby boy! So relieved that his name wont include the words Ivy or Apple.”

Commenting on the oversaturation of baby news, Josh Groban tweeted, “I know it”s a boy, I”m watching it on the dang web cam. It”s gurgling.”

Meanwhile, it was the Brits themselves who delighted in their new countrymen with Prime Minister David Cameron posting, “I”m delighted for the Duke and Duchess now their son has been born. The whole country will celebrate. They”ll make wonderful parents.” UK born Jack Osbourne shared, “EPIC!!!! a new prince was born. its like real life Game of Thrones #royalbaby.”
