Elizabeth Hurley"s son Damian lands role as an extra in "Neighbours"

Elizabeth Hurley”s son Damian has followed his mother on to the small screen.

The 10-year-old, whose father is film producer and business-man Steve Bing, has filmed scenes as an extra in Australian soap-opera Neighbours.

The 47-year-old mother-of-one used her twitter page to announce that her son was visiting the show”s set on Thursday, writing: “My son totally overexcited as he”s visiting the Neighbours set today.”

However two hours later the Gossip Girl star added: “My son in heaven – he got to be an extra in Neighbours today.”

Elizabeth and Damian have been staying in Melbourne, where the soap is filmed, with Elizabeth’s fiance cricketer Shane Warne.

Damian”s new acting role in the show, which launched Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan to fame. shows that he is already comfortable in a soap recognised as evouredly Australian.

Model and actress Elizabeth enjoyed a fruitful career, making a number of screen appearances, including in the TV series Sharpe and the film Passenger 57.

She then went on to appear in Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery and Bedazzled.

In recent years Elizabeth had also thrown herself into other projects including organic foods, film production and her designer swimwear range.
