Its been a tough year for Hollywood deaths, and the latest star to pass on is beloved actress Eileen Brennan .
The veteran thespian made a name for herself by shining in films like The Last Picture Show and Private Benjamin, the latter of which earned her a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination.
Back in the 1960s, Eileen honed her craft on Rowan & Martins Laugh-In, later moving on to guest star with Caroll OConnor on a side-splitting episode of All in the Family.
According to Brennans publicist, she died of bladder cancer at her home in Burbank, California. She was 80 years old, and is survived by one sister, two sons, and two grandchildren.
