Dionne pays moving tribute to beloved godmother Amy

It was a touching way to honour her much loved godmother, the woman she described as “my soulmate”.

Dionne Bromfield led a musical tribute to Amy Winehouse at the MOBO awards, performing the late singer”s hit Love Is A Losing Game.

The 15-year-old jazz star took to the stage wearing a lucky charm necklace spelling “lioness” which was given to her by Amy.

She said it made her feel as if her mentor was with her.

Dionne, who received a standing ovation, said she found it difficult to maintain her composure, especially with the huge picture of Amy projected behind her.

“I knew they were going to use that picture and it was difficult to keep singing but I did it for Amy,” she said.

Dionne has shown maturity beyond her years as she”s struggled to cope with the loss of her good friend, who died in July.

She tweeted at the time: “I feel like apart of my Soul has departed with the beautiful Song Bird Amy. She loved everyone … Thank you all for your loving messages and support.
“Amy had a Place in her Heart for each and everyone of you.”

Also performing at the MOBOs was Do it like a Dude singer Jessie J, taking to the stage for the first time without the bandage on her foot that she”s been wearing since injuring herself on stage.

The pop star was the night”s big winner, walking away with four awards.
