Speaking of the project, BBC Worldwide managing director Helen Jackson said: “This is an unforgettable documentary set in the heart of the dense Amazon rainforest following David Beckham.
She went on to say that audiences will get a unique view of the jungle through David Beckham, adding: “Through his eyes, audiences will experience life in the jungle, something so distant from David’s life on and off the pitch and in the glare of the world’s media.”
BBC One controller Charlotte Moore shared that David and his pals spent two weeks travelling through the rainforest, learning to camp, cook and fish as they experienced what the BBC called “the real Brazil”.
Brazil is this year’s host country for the World Cup.

Fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger recently called David the “underwear model of the century”, and hundreds of millions of viewers saw him strip down to his underwear during a H&M advert during the 2014 Super Bowl.
