BBC One”s hit musical talent show The Voice returns to screens on Saturday night to kick-start the search for the UK”s next big vocal talent. Danny O”Donoghue, Jessie J, will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones have come together again for the show”s famous blind auditions.
“They”re the best part of the show” Danny said speaking on BBC Radio 1 about the part of the show where judges are unable to see those who are auditioning.
The four famous judges sit in large red chairs facing away from the show”s hopefuls so as to judge them by their voice alone. Sir Tom, Danny, Jessie and will.i.am then have to carefully choose which of the voices they want to mentor.
During his chat with Radio 1 DJ Matt Edmonson, Danny spoke of excitement that the show is back on air as “it really is great fun” and that this year he hopes to bring “all the luck of the Irish” this series and take home a win.
Delilah hitmaker Sir Tom was the judge behind the last series” win, when his act, Leanne Mitchell took the title.
Bo Bruce and Tyler James, the shows runners up, have both enjoyed success since their time on The Voice. Bo, who enjoyed a romantic relationship with judge Danny, will release her album Before I Sleep in April and Tyler has had made a name for himself with hits such as Single Tear and Worry About You.
